IN TODAY’S REPORT
What I cover: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS EDITION. Bitcoin’s range reading. Range expansion looks imminent. The current slumber should awaken traders.
Dull String of Weeks to End?
After recovering from its trade war-inspired plunge, Bitcoin has ranged sideways since May just off its latest all-time high and above its rising 100ma.
The action? Unsurprisingly, it’s been a dull string of weeks for the king crypto.
And altcoins? More bleed, something I wrote about recently (“The Altcoins-Get-Killed Scenario”, 6/18/25).
But the REKTelligence Rangeometer indicator — a measure of short-term price behavior in which higher readings indicate a sustained constriction of movement — now suggests that we may see an expansion of range in the near future.
BITCOIN. Daily Chart with 100ma and REKTelligence Rangeometer.
In 2025 alone, three spikes in Bitcoin’s Rangeometer have preceded rather significant swings out of prior ranges and bases, something I now expect to happen again.
While a rising Rangeometer doesn’t provide any clues as to next direction, Bitcoin’s uptrend remains in tact and I favor an upside breakout from the current range between ~ $100,000 and $112,000.
The catalyst may be unclear at the present moment, but the current slumber should wake everyone up. Bitcoin appears poised for new highs.
Until next time…
